Privacy policy

Short version: we don't keep your files, we don't need an account, and we don't sell anything about you.

Tools that run on your device

Most of our tools, including Merge, Split, Compress, Rotate, Sign, Protect, Unlock, OCR and JPG to PDF, run entirely inside your web browser. Your files are opened by your own device and are never sent to our server. These tools are marked "Runs on your device".

Tools that use our server

Some conversions need special software that can't run in a browser: Word, Excel and PowerPoint to PDF, PDF to Word, PDF to Excel, PDF to PowerPoint, PDF to PDF/A and Repair PDF. These tools are marked "Converted on our secure server". For these:

• Your file is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
• It is converted immediately and deleted from our server as soon as the result has been sent back to you, usually within seconds.
• We never look at, copy, share or keep the contents of your files.
• We don't record your file names.

What we do record

Like every website, our server briefly keeps basic technical logs: the time of a request, which tool was used, file size and how long the conversion took. We use your IP address only in memory to stop abuse (a limit of 50 MB per file and a limit on conversions per few minutes). We don't use advertising trackers.

Cookies

We don't use cookies for tracking. Your browser may store small settings for this site, such as your theme.
